ForNote Privacy Policy

At ForNote, your privacy is our top priority. This privacy policy outlines how the application interacts with your data and explains your rights concerning privacy and data protection.

1. Data Collection

ForNote does not collect, process, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII) to our servers. All user actions—such as creating, editing, or managing notes, notebooks, and folders—are performed locally on your device.

2. File Access and Permissions

ForNote operates within its own local environment and does not access external files or system folders. All notes are created and stored exclusively inside the app. The app does not request file-related permissions from the operating system.

3. Analytics and Tracking

ForNote does not include any form of:

  • Analytics software

  • Tracking systems

  • Cookies

  • Usage monitoring tools

We do not use third-party analytics, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs. Your usage data remains entirely private and inaccessible to third parties.

4. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

ForNote offers auto-renewable subscriptions through Apple's In-App Purchase system (StoreKit).

  • All payment processing is handled exclusively by Apple. We never receive, see, or store your payment details (credit card information, Apple ID, billing address, etc.).

  • Apple processes your transaction according to Apple's Privacy Policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/

  • ForNote receives only a transaction receipt from Apple, which is used solely to verify your subscription status on your device.

  • Subscription status is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to any external server operated by us.

  • You can manage, cancel, or request a refund for your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings.

  • The Restore Purchases feature uses Apple's StoreKit to re-validate your past purchases on the same Apple ID. No personal information is shared with us during this process.

5. Third-Party Services

ForNote is a self-contained application. It does not integrate with:

  • Cloud storage platforms

  • Advertising networks

  • External APIs or third-party analytics SDKs

The only system-level service used by the app is Apple's StoreKit for subscription processing, as described in Section 4.

6. Data Security

As no data leaves your device, the responsibility for file security rests with the user. We strongly recommend using secure device practices—such as a device passcode, encryption, and regular backups—to protect your notes. Since ForNote does not store data externally or offer cloud backup, users are solely responsible for maintaining their own backups.

7. Children's Privacy

ForNote does not knowingly collect any information from children. The app is intended for general audiences and does not target users under the age of 13.

8. Your Rights

Because we do not collect or store any personal data, there is no data for us to access, modify, or delete on your behalf. All your notes and settings reside on your device and remain under your direct control. Subscription and billing data is held by Apple; please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for your rights regarding that data.

9. Policy Updates

This privacy policy may be revised to reflect future improvements or compliance with legal requirements. Updated versions will always be made available on this page with the new effective date clearly stated.
